|
|
Hi,
After much consideration (and a lenghty period of it) I have decided that I want to quit my job/career in accountancy and pursue a career in Law.
I graduated 18 months ago with a degree in Law & Maths and since then have had two jobs in accountancy (currently a CIMA trainee accountant).
I'm not fully sure of my options (and any particular area of Law) I have drawn up the following ideas:
- Licensed Conveyancing
- Return to university to study (possibly Gender, Sexuality & Human Rights at Keele) which could open up a career in academia
- Legal Executive
- Solicitor
Other than the obvious (decide what I want to do!?) what advice do you have for my intial steps as each month goes by my payback fees requirement at my current job is increasing and I'm not sure how to be honest and say I no longer want a career in accountancy without making my situation untenable. Should I resign and pursue jobs in Law generally (if they exist??) or be honest with my company ... I'm so confused whats best step forward??
Thank you |
