I often wonder what makes recruiters pay overprice for adding joblistings to surden online job websites. The time is over where newspapers charged employers big money for adds. We all know that the cost of running an online job site is extremely low.
The Hospitality Industry and its ways of recruiting would benefit hugely if we said no thanks to overcharging. |

Hi Thomas,
I agree that there are a few hospitality job boards out there that charge outrageous amounts of money for their services. As a former HR Manager for a 5 star resort it was very difficult to locate qualified staff with a very limited recruiting budget. We really had to think “out of the box” on how we were going to hire staff for our seasonal resort destination. That is when a few of my HR colleagues and I developed HospitalityAdventures.com. Our goal was to develop an innovative online recruiting web site that offered personalized service at an affordable price. Unfortunately, the cost of running an online job board is NOT extremely low. I really wish that were the case.
The fact is more and more hospitality professionals are turning to the web to locate a legitimate career opportunity and online job boards provide a huge benefit to the hospitality industry. AHC, Inc.’s philosophy is that we (hospitality job boards) can benefit greatly by working together in a cooperative effort to provide hospitality employers/recruiters with a high quality product that produces positive results AND that does not break the bank.happy |
